Though it comes standard with all-LED exterior lighting, 16-inch alloy wheels, and several appreciable features, the entry-spec Jetta S still proves to be a little too basic to be commendable. Power accessories are standard but the vinyl steering wheel, manual air conditioning, and manually-adjustable front seats really diminish the appeal of the affordable S. The standard 6.5-inch infotainment touchscreen and four-speaker sound system aren't impressive either, though Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included. Cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are the only driver assists.
