As the entry-level version of the all-new Taos, the S gets a limited number of standard features. The base model shares its 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with the rest of the lineup and sends its power to the front wheels via an eight-speed transmission. You can opt for AWD with a seven-speed DSG, however, which adds heated front seats to the feature count. Standard features include a 6.5-inch infotainment display with a four-speaker sound system, driver aids such as automatic post-collision braking and intelligent crash response, and interior comforts like a multifunction steering wheel, two front USB-C data ports, and push-button start.
