2023 S60 Exterior
Volvos have handsome but subdued exterior styling, which makes it hard for them to stand out besides the bolder designs from competitors like Audi and BMW. But the assertive lower bumper and Thor's Hammer headlights aren't kidding around, either. This year, said bumper is a bit sleeker than before, courtesy of the facelift. The rear bumper has received similar treatment, and the exhaust outlets have been more subtly integrated. The Core and Plus trims make use of the stand Volvo grille, which plays host to the company logo, while the Ultimate has the standard grille with bright chrome to show off its exclusivity. Everything is LED, including the fog lights embedded in the front bumper on the upper trims. The rear sports a set of slim taillights and rounds out the image with a pair of integrated exhaust tips. Most models ride on 18-inch alloy wheels in various styles, while the Ultimate and Polestar Engineered get more imposing 19-inch wheels.

A 113.1-inch wheelbase gives the sedan its spacious cabin, while a length of 188.1 inches contributes to its stately curb appeal. Width measures 75.4 inches with the mirrors folded, and the Volvo stands 56.6 inches tall. Curb weight varies greatly across the range, with the B5 Core starting at 3,777 pounds, and the T8 Ultimate AWD maxing out at 4,450 lbs.

Exterior Colors
Ten paint colors are available to the S60 range, but there are a few restrictions to their application. Black Stone is standard on any model, while the remaining metallic options each cost an extra $695. For the Core and Ultimate, these comprise Bright Dust. Crystal White, Thunder Grey, Platinum Grey. Denim Blue, Birch Light, Silver Dawn, and the fiery Fusion Red. The R-Design models get exclusive access to Onyx Black (replacing last year's Bursting Blue), while Pine Grey falls away for this trim. At the top of the range is the Polestar variant of the Recharge PHEV. Aside from the basic Black Stone, it can be had in Thunder Grey, Crystal White, and Silver Dawn, which gives it a more futuristic appearance.
