Volvo knows how to craft a stylish interior, and the V60 Recharge gets the top-end treatment thanks to its Polestar status. This means the finest leather upholstery, refined accent trimming, and loads of comfort and convenience features. The controls are laid out with meticulous thought given to ease of access, and any area you may touch is covered in soft leatherette. That being said, the touchscreen can seem a bit complicated at first, especially considering how much tech comes as standard. Overall, the cabin is spacious, and there is even a generous cargo hold in the back, and the standard-fit sunroof just makes it feel even more airy.
As one of the few brands that still believe wagons have value, Volvo has ensured the V60 Recharge has an extremely accommodating cabin. Inside, there is more than enough room for five adults, with the back seats offering 35.2 inches of legroom and 38.1 inches of headroom. Passengers in the front get the same headroom but a more generous 42.3 inches of legroom. However, if you want to use the wagon as a family hauler, three kids in the back is preferable to three adults, as hip room isn't quite as stellar. Both front seats are power-adjustable, heated, ventilated, and offer memory settings and massage functionality. Thanks to a low step-in and wide-opening doors, entering and exiting are easy. However, the length of the wagon can negatively impact driver visibility.

You will never find subpar materials or any hard plastics inside a Volvo, let alone in a Polestar Engineered version, so you just know the V60 Recharge is going to be immaculate. Nappa leather covers all the seating surfaces, while the dash and door panels are lined with soft-touch leatherette and trimmed with metal mesh inlays. Unfortunately, Charcoal is the only color scheme available inside. A crystal gear shifter knob is standard, as are gold seatbelts.
To remain competitive alongside hyper-practical SUVs, wagons have to ensure they have plenty of room for junk in the trunk. In this regard, the Volvo V60 Recharge's cargo capacity is adequate but not astounding. There are 22.9 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats, which is less than you'll find in the A4 allroad. Still, it's more than you'll find in just about any sedan, and you can fold the rear seats down to create a larger 60.5 cu-ft area. Luckily, you get storage pockets beneath the seats to make up for some of the lacking space.
For smaller personal effects, the cabin supplies spacious door pockets, an assortment of bins around the center console, a glove compartment, and a pair of cupholders for each row of seating.

The Volvo V60 Recharge is one of the most well-equipped vehicles on the road, and in Polestar Engineered guise it gets almost every feature imaginable as standard. This includes Nappa leather upholstery, a panoramic moonroof, and quad-zone climate control, while high-level illumination helps during those dark nights. Both front seats are power-adjustable with lumbar support, as well as heating and memory settings. The rear perches are also heated. Naturally, you get a variety of conveniences such as keyless entry, push-button start, and cruise control, but it's the safety suite that makes the wagon so great for families. The extensive list includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear park assist, lane keep assist, forward collision avoidance, a surround-view camera, and Pilot Assist. The head-up display is a nice final touch to round out the offering.
You'll never want for entertainment when driving the V60 Recharge, as the infotainment suit is extremely well-equipped. The nine-inch touchscreen is a little small considering that most luxury vehicles make use of a 10- or 11-inch setup these days. Nevertheless, the interface is programmed with Googe Built-In, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming, SiriusXM, voice controls, and 4G Wi-Fi capability. As the top-tier trim, the Polestar Engineered enjoys the high-end 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system as standard, which remains one of the better setups in the segment.
Though not leading the segment, the V60 Recharge boasts a reasonable 22.9 cubic-foot trunk, with the option to fold down the rear seats to free up over 60 cubes.
Unlike SUVs that sometimes allow for third-row seating, the Volvo V60 is limited to a maximum of five seats, albeit spacious ones.
Each row of seating gets a pair of cupholders for a total of four.
