Volvo’s already acclaimed V90 wagon gets some off-road capability and a more aggressive design in the form of the V90 Cross Country. Three models are available, all with all-wheel-drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission: the T5, T6, and the T6 Volvo Ocean Race. The T5 uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with peak outputs of 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft, with both T6 variants adding supercharging to the mix for outputs of 316 hp/295 lb-ft.
At T5 level, you get 18-inch alloy wheels, leather-upholstered seats with power-adjustment in front, dual-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch driver information display, and Volvo’s novel nine-inch vertically mounted touchscreen. Sensus Navigation is standard, and all the expected connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are part of the package. The T6 additionally gets 19-inch wheels. The T6 Cross Country Volvo Ocean Race is exclusively finished in Crystal White with Flare Orange inserts. It also rides on 20-inch wheels, while inside, this variant gets additional features for adventure junkies such as a waterproof load compartment floor and a water-resistant storage bag.
