The 2022 Volvo XC60 Hybrid is receiving a mid-life update to keep it competitive until its redesigned successor arrives. For now, Volvo has focused on some updated exterior styling, an improved Android-powered infotainment interface, and better driver-assistance technologies.
Volvo has not made any changes under the hood, with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine bolted to a turbocharger and supercharger, and paired to an electric motor for total outputs coming to 400 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque.
Inside, there's a new infotainment interface with improved personalization thanks to access to Google apps and services. A new Digital Services package offers “best-in-class navigation” and the Google Assistant, which allows for hands-free help.
A complete reveal is expected in the coming few months and sales are expected to get underway later this year.
