The 2022 Volvo XC60 will receive a few upgrades to keep it fresh. As one of Volvo’s best-selling models, it’s important for the XC60 to remain competitive. It will get mildly tweaked styling elements, an updated Android-powered infotainment interface, as well as improved driver-assistance technologies.
Volvo has not announced any mechanical changes, so we expect the 2022 XC60 to retain a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a 2.0-liter twin-charged four-cylinder. Outside, a new grille design and a reshaped bumper have been incorporated, but these changes are fairly minor.
There’s bigger news in the cabin, as the new infotainment interface offers greater personalization thanks to access to Google apps and services. A new Digital Services package offers “best-in-class navigation” and the Google Assistant, which allows for hands-free help. However, the same portrait-style touchscreen will be retained. Smarter driver-assistance tech will allow for road user detection and the Pilot Assist function.
For now, pricing has not been made available and neither has an official on-sale date, although the 2022 XC60 is planned to go into production towards the end of May.
