Once again, the R-Design trim makes only stylistic adjustments to the T6 Volvo XC90. If you want to add some nifty high-tech features to your more sporty looking SUV, then you might want to consider the Advanced Package, which comprises a headlight cleaner, a head-up display, parking assist, and a surround-view camera. The R-Design also features all-wheel-drive as its standard configuration. The R-Design styling finds a better fit with the T6 engine beneath its hood, with extra power better befitting the sportier suspension setup. It’s not a genuine performance SUV, but this is as sporty as it gets for Volvo’s top dog.
