The holiday season is finally here and along with it comes the challenge of buying a gift for the car enthusiast in your life. Gearheads are particularly difficult to buy gifts for, as very few people are generous enough to give a car as a present. We've put together a list of gift ideas for the 2019 shopping season but be sure to check out our previous lists from 2018, 2017, and 2016, as many of those options will still be great.

Dodge Holiday Gift Catalog

Dodge loves to get in the Christmas spirit. Last year, the company even built its own interpretation of Santa's sleigh based on a Challenger Hellcat Redeye. The sleigh featured a modified version of the Hellcat logo with reindeer antlers on it, which can now be found on several items in the company's holiday catalog. Some of our favorites include an adult Hellcat reindeer onesie for $69.95, a t-shirt for $17.95, and an "ugly" holiday sweater for $69.95.

Bentley Collection

Most people aren't able to afford a car from Bentley but that doesn't mean you can't show your enthusiasm for the brand with some holiday gift items. This winter, the Bentley Collection includes many gift ideas for children including a ride-on car based on the Continental GT, a Motorsport Teddy Bear, and a wooden garage.

Bentley also has plenty of gift ideas for adults (both men and women) including a leather bottle holder and matching leather tray, napkin rings, numerous bags, eyewear, fragrances, and golf equipment. Just remember, having a Bentley badge on it means you'll pay a premium for these items.

Tesla Diecast Models

Most children who love cars but aren't old enough to drive them yet are forced to settle for the next best thing, a diecast scale model. Tesla now offers diecast versions of most of its current (and future) models, so your child can now have a highly detailed, scale version of your car on their bedroom dresser. These diecast models are on sale for $250 each but if you want to go even bigger, Tesla also sells a ride-on Model S with a top speed of six mph for $600. The ride-on car even includes an MP3 Sound System, frunk, working headlights, and horn.

Tossits Car Garbage Bags

The best type of gift is one you can actually use. This next option is fairly universal for anyone who drives a car, so it is a great idea for a secret Santa or holiday gift exchange. Tossits car garbage bags are thick bags that hang off the back of your car seat. The bags are designed to tear off easily and seal easily, keeping your car clean and organized. They are also leak-proof and smell-proof, so they are perfect for drive-thru runs with the kids. A multi-pack of 10 recyclable bags is available for $7.99 or $15.99 for a three-pack with 30 bags on Amazon or Tossits.com.

JumpSmart Portable Vehicle Jump Starter

Modern cars have become much more reliable, meaning they rarely need to be jump-started anymore. But not everyone drives a brand-new car, so the JumpSmart Portable Vehicle Jump Starter from Limitless Innovations is a great gift idea. This four-mode LED flashlight features a 37,000 MWh battery, which can charge your devices and is capable of jump-starting any vehicle with up to a 5.0-liter eight-cylinder engine (or 2.0-liter diesel). The JumpSmart is available for $119.99 and is now offered in a new rose gold finish.

Rhino-Rack Snow Products

If your family likes to take skiing or snowboarding trips, Rhino-Rack snow products are a great gift idea. Rhino-Rack has several car storage solutions for your winter getaway including a ski and snowboard carrier for $147.00, multi-purpose holder for $52.00, and rooftop boxes for between $520 and $620. The company also sells plenty of summer camping supplies for when the weather warms up.

Monopoly "Nurburgring" 2nd Edition

There are countless versions of the family board game Monopoly, so it was only a matter of time before the company released a version centered around the most famous race track in the world, the Nurburgring. The only place we could find the game for sale is on the Nurburgring website and shipping to the US is not available, sadly. But if you live in Germany and would like to buy the game, it is priced at €44.95 (around $50). Even if you could have the game shipped to the US, it looks like all of the cards are printed in German.

Lego Set

Gifts that you can enjoy with your children are always better than ones they can only enjoy by themselves. Have a fun family evening by building one of the many car sets from Lego. Just this year alone, Lego has released new sets based on the Nissan GT-R, Land Rover Defender, and more. No matter what types of cars you child likes, Lego probably has a set to suit their taste and skill level.

Car Detailing

If none of this year's holiday gift ideas appeal to you, a nice car detail is always an excellent fallback plan. Whether the person you are buying for drives a sports car, pickup truck or family sedan, having it detailed is a great way to show you were thinking of them. Who's going to be disappointed with a freshly-cleaned car?
