While not the focal points of the films, Marvel's Cinematic Universe is chock full of cool cars driven by the heroes. It began in the 2008 film 'Iron Man,' where we were first introduced to Robert Downey Jr's Tony Stark driving the original Audi R8. Since then, Audi has sponsored several Marvel movies but other automakers have stepped in occasionally to provide the hero car. With 'Avengers End Game' opening this weekend, we wanted to take a look at some of the coolest superhero cars to grace the Marvel MCU.

Don't worry, we will only be talking about the cars and who drove them in the movie, so you don't have to worry about any spoilers.

Audi e-tron GT: Avengers Endgame

Audi already announced that its e-tron GT Concept will take a part in 'Avengers Endgame.' Robert Downey Jr. was present when Audi revealed the car at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, so we can only assume the actor will buy one when the all-electric car eventually goes on sale and that his character Tony Stark drives the car in the new movie.

Audi R8: Iron Man 1, 2, and 3

Iron Man and the Audi R8 have been intertwined since the first film came out in 2008. Since then, the R8 featured in the movies has changed depending on Audi's latest innovations. 'Iron Man 2,' for example, introduced the R8 Spyder while 'Iron Man 3' showed off the electric R8 e-tron. We aren't sure if Iron Man helped make the R8 cooler or vice versa, but few cars have managed to become so synonymous with a superhero and a real-life celebrity.

Acura NSX: The Avengers

While Tony Stark typically drives an R8, Acura was the car sponsor for the 2011 film, 'The Avengers.' This meant instead of an R8, Stark hops into a concept Acura NSX Roadster because the production car had yet to be released. The film also included S.H.I.E.L.D agents driving heavily modified versions of the TL and MDX.

Lamborghini Huracan: Doctor Strange

Tony Stark might be the billionaire playboy, but fellow superhero, Dr. Steven Strange, drives the nicer supercar. Dr. Strange drives a Lamborghini Huracan, which shares a platform and engine with the Audi R8. Unlike Iron Man's cars, however, Dr. Strange's meets its end during the movie. That's all we'll say without offering any spoilers.

Lexus LC 500: Black Panther

What does a Wakandan prince drive during a dangerous mission? A Lexus LC 500, of course. Perhaps Prince T'Challa wanted a sports car that would also be reliable, which makes the decision to use a Lexus an excellent choice. Or maybe Audi doesn't have a dealership in Wakanda.

Audi TTS: Spider-Man Homecoming

Although it wasn't actually driven by Peter Parker, the 2018 Audi A8 made its debut in the 2017 film 'Spider-Man Homecoming.' Spider-Man actually drives a 2018 Audi TTS, which he steals from another character in the movie.

Hyundai Veloster: Ant-Man & The Wasp

The Hyundai Veloster is clearly not the quickest car on this list but because it is driven by The Wasp, it has the ability to shrink down to the size of a Matchbox car. We'll take world-altering superpowers over a V10 engine any day of the week.
