2018 is now upon us, which means that we can start to prepare for all of the big automotive reveals that will occur this year. The first of the major auto shows is the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, which will take place from January 13 to 28. This is the largest auto show in North America, and there will likely be some amazing new cars on display. Some of these cars have already been teased or confirmed, but there is still time for some surprises. Here's what you can expect to see at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show.

The biggest (and still unconfirmed) news that may come out of the 2018 Detroit Auto Show is the reveal of the long-awaited mid-engined Corvette. We've been hearing about this car for decades now, and we hope that all of the rumors and spy shots come to fruition. The Detroit show would be a big enough venue to reveal such a car, but GM just pulled the wraps off of the Corvette ZR1, so we wouldn't be surprised if we had to wait a little longer on the mid-engined car. Ford could also surprise us at Detroit with the reveal of the recently leaked Shelby GT500, a Bullit Mustang or even the new Ranger.

Many automakers have already teased us with previews of their Detroit reveals. Some of the confirmed cars include the Acura RDX, Honda Insight, Hyundai Veloster, Mercedes CLS 53 AMG and G-Class, Toyota Avalon and Volkswagen Jetta as well as some concept cars such as the Infiniti Q80 and Lexus LF-1 Limitless. Detroit will also preview a few new production models that have already been revealed such as the BMW X2, Jeep Cherokee, and Mercedes CLS. The 2018 Detroit Show should be a memorable one, but we hope that there is some big reveal that really wows us.
