And it looks like a Shelby Daytona.
Earlier this week, a new EV was revealed. But it’s unlike any other EV ever. The Renovo Coupe is an all-American supercar that just so happens to be battery-powered. It also has the body and chassis of a Shelby CSX900, designed by the one and only Peter Brock. But the Renovo Coupe’s hardware and software was built by a Silicon Valley automotive start up. Based on the supposed specs and performance figures alone, they’ve delivered 500 horsepower and 1,000 lb-ft of torque.
0-60 mph happens in only 3.4 seconds, it has a top speed of 120 mph, and boasts a 100-mile driving range. We were interested on looks alone. XCAR had the chance to speak to Renovo’s CEO at Pebble Beach last weekend and we’ll admit, the guy makes a convincing case for an EV supercar.
