1,300-HP King Kong Spins Out at 180 MPH

Drag Race

Brutal power requires more competent handling than this.

Kong Chang’s Porsche 996-gen twin-turbo Porsche 911 has a monstrous 1,300 horsepower. It boasts a 3.8-liter big valve headed motor, a ProEFI ECU, and with the BBI B153 package it’s capable of over 1,500 hp. As you can imagine – and hear on the video courtesy of 1320video – the King Kong Porsche sounds like a brute. At the recent Texas Invitational, it came up against another twin-turbo Porsche, a 1,200-hp Nissan GT-R.

But the real drama comes on a mid-boost test when the 911 spins out when travelling at a tick under 180 mph. Check it out.
