Australia set the bar pretty high when it smashed the “World’s Largest Simultaneous Burnout” record at the start of the year with 103 cars shredding their tires. But America has now reclaimed the record. During day four of the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour, 114 hot rodders joined forces to burn rubber on the tarmac of the Memphis International Raceway. There's no official Guinness confirmation, but that's just a technicality. The record was broken.
The 30-second long burnout creates masses of smoke, cloaking the cars in a cloud of burnt rubber. No doubt Australia will be hurting after losing its crown.
