Universally recognized as the most unique and valuable postwar Bentley/Rolls Royce in existence, the 1947 Bentley Mark VI Cabriolet, with custom coachworks by French coachbuilder Franay, is heading back to the Barrett-Jackson's auction block next month where it is expected to be sold for around $2 million. Five years ago the car was sold for $1.76 million at the Palm Beach Collector Car Event, and its value has estimated to have increased by up to 25% since.

First shown at the 1947 Paris Auto Show to world-wide acclaim, the Franay-Bentley went on to win the 1947, 1948 and 1995 Concours d-Elegance and has won 50 such awards since, including the 'Best of Show' at the 1991 and 1999 Rolls-Royce National Meet. This immensely impressive vehicle has an interior that is adorned in 100 percent frog skin, and with its visually arresting, Art Deco style body this one-of-a-kind masterpiece from the Ron Pratte collection is sure to meet its reserve at the Scottsdale Auction held between 15 and 22 January 2012.
