1957 Chevy Belair Promod Runs 6.04-Sec Quarter-Mile

Quarter Mile

And that was on a test run.

Powered by a 521 cu.in. (8.54-liter) HEMI, this 1957 Chevrolet Belair Promod has plenty left in the chamber, despite posting an obscenely quick quarter-mile time of 6.04 seconds at 237.55 mph. To put that in perspective, the McLaren P1 and LaFerrari take just under seven seconds to reach 124 mph from standstill. The run was made at the Route 66 Raceway last Friday during the Memorial Muscle Test and Tune, where owner Randy Adler was working on ironing out some problems with the car’s new blower and cam set up.

If this is a practice run, we can’t wait to see it sprint down the quarter-mile once fully sorted.
