Now this is just cool. A 1958 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster was restored and given a new-generation Corvette LT1 engine and suspension on a custom frame. The transformation began by un-bolting the vintage Corvette Roadster from its frame and having it sodium-blasted to remove all of its factory defects, in addition to the wear-and-tear from over 50 years of existence. The entire body was restored to a silky smooth finish prior to being bolted to a custom round tube frame.

Then it received a custom Spectrum Color-developed turquoise with traditional white coves to give the Corvette that vintage appearance. A custom frame was built specifically to house the new powertrain, featuring a modern Corvette LT1 Generation II 350 motor with a cast-iron block and aluminum heads. The color-matched LT1 plastic engine cover is a great way to show off the engine that produces an output of 300hp. The interior is fitted with genuine leather throughout the cabin with a color-matched scheme to go along.

Taking over the old steering wheel is an aluminum counterpart from Grant and a Lokar transmission. The exterior is topped off with a set of 18-inch Intro wheels that help give the Corvette a perfect look. The 1958 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster is currently up for sale for $119,900, which may sound like a real steal, given the fact that all the hard work (three years) put into restoring the vintage beauty cost an estimated $200,000. The vintage Corvette Roadster will certainly be a bargain for one lucky collector.
