Car #10 of 337 is going up for auction shortly.
Painted in hot red and fitted with a right-hand steering wheel, this rare 1968 Toyota 2000GT may be the sweetest-looking Toyota ever to have been manufactured. One of just 337 produced in the late 1960s, this beauty is an early model that came with the company’s Crown sedan’s 2.0-liter, inline-six engine. With Yamaha tuning and a double overhead camshaft head added, it produced 150 horsepower and was mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
This particular car, apparently a Japanese model that was later imported, is the tenth to roll off the Toyota production lines. It will be up for auction by RM Auctions on May 10.
