There are certainties when it comes to the yearly event that is the SEMA show in Las Vegas. One of those is that Ringbrothers will display something jaw-dropping. In this case, the Wisconsin-based premium parts and vehicle builder have introduced a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro with 890 horsepower on tap. But the build goes so much deeper than that.

This stunning retromod muscle car, named Valkyrja, is built with modern lightweight and durable materials such as carbon fiber, while custom parts were created using a combination of 3D printing and CNC machining. The result, as you can see, is something beautiful and engineered to the next level.

"We try and top ourselves every year, and this build was no different," said Mike Ring, co-owner of Ringbrothers. "This build was unlike anything we had attempted before, both in design and execution. The result is a car with a classic look but entirely modern underpinnings, materials and technology. It's the perfect mix of style and performance."

Starting under the hood of the Camaro build, a Wegner Motorsports LS3 crate engine is matched with a massive 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger. Distributing the 890 horsepower generated by that heavy combination is a reworked Bowler six-speed Tremec transmission. The engine has to sound good and breath right, so it's also hooked to a Flowmaster Stainless Steel Super 44 Series exhaust.

A John's Industries 9-inch rear end helps get that power to the road, while the chassis and suspension have been taken care of by Detroit Speed Engineering. That gorgeous paint is a BASF mix called TOTOPKG Green, and many of the parts you see on this custom build are available to buy from Ringbrothers.

The Valkyrja name, chosen by the owner that commissioned the build, comes from the Old Norse spelling of Valkyrie. The mythological female figure selects which soldiers live and which die in battle before carrying them off into the afterlife. This would be one hell of a chariot for a modern Valkyrie to come down from the heavens in.
