Nothing good comes from colliding with a lamppost. And when your ride is a one-of-349-ever-made Ferrari F50, the outcome can be especially painful. While travelling to the UK's Silverstone race track, the driver of the iconic 90's supercar lost control near Brackley, Northamptonshire, and smashed into a lamppost. Severely damaging the rear end, the crash is being called one of the UK's most expensive, second only to Rowan Atkinson's fail in his McLaren F1.

According to a witness at the scene, the driver came out of a roundabout with too much power – easily done in the 520-hp 4.7-liter V12 brute – spinning the supercar into the lamppost. Thankfully nobody involved in the accident was hurt. To cheer you up, here's Chris Harris thrashing one with an F40.
