Back in September, a serious fire broke out at Herb Chamber's Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Sudbury, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston. Actually, the fire was mainly limited to the lot itself, but a total of 19 cars, some of which had owners, were destroyed. The local media thought it was a case of arson or some other sort of foul play. They were wrong. According to the latest reports, the fire broke out in a single car and it spread from there. That car was a 2004 Jaguar XJ8.

Ironically, it was at the dealership to undergo repairs due to some previous fire damage. It's still not entirely clear as to how the fire started in the aging Jag sedan in the first place. The total damage amounted to an estimated $750,000, and the question remains whether one or several insurance companies will pay out. Fortunately, Herb Chambers, who also owns another 54 dealerships and regularly hosts Cars and Coffee events at them, isn't at all worried. "The good news is nobody got hurt, and they're just cars," he told the Boston Globe.
