The 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring is being promoted as a more versatile everyday transport than its sister, the Elantra sedan. The Touring also rides a more modern chassis than the sedan, but don't expect it to be redesigned before 2013. The 2010 Touring sports crispy defined body lines and a trendy big-mouth grille, and it's roomier too. There isn't a real distinction between the Elantra and the Elantra Touring when it comes to the engine.

Both continue to share the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and both offer it in either 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission. The EPA numbers on the 2011 Elantra Touring aren't bad either, with 23/31 city/highway with manual, and 23/30 with automatic. The SE model of the Touring now comes with greater standard features that are much welcomed.
