Mazda has released its first update for the 2011 Mazda6 that premiered at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show in March. The exterior changes that the 2011 Mazda6 has undergone include new headlights and rear light clusters, a new chassis setting, adaptive front lighting, and hill launch assist. Under the hood, the update includes six featured engines. One of the new and more efficient engines is the 2.0-liter DISI engine that is coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission.

The facelift under the hood also includes updated versions of the MZR 1.8 and 2.5-liter engines while the MZR-CD 2.2-liter turbo diesel units is offered in three power levels. The interior of the 2011 Mazda6 has remained largely the same, excepts for the new piano black trim on the center console, shift knob and door handles.
