The sporty two-door, four-seat Mitsubishi Eclipse coupe is back with good looks and a roomy interior. Its youthful looks and affordable price are said to be the main attractive qualities drawing consumer to try it out. The 2011 Eclipse is being offered in three trim levels: GS, GS-Sport, and GT. Both the GS and GS-Sport models are powered by a 162-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with choice of manual or automatic transmission.

The higher end GT model of the 2011 year is sporting a 265-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 engine that comes only in automatic with Sportonic shift control. Standard safety features include all the usual stability control with traction control, front, side, and curtain airbags, and anti-lock brakes. New to the 2011 are the black painted roof, lower ride height, and a 12-volt outlet.
