We already knew some information about Vauxhall's rehashed Antara, but Opel has just come out with a fresh selection of photos, as well as some additional information on the compact SUV. The Antara's cosmetic changes are limited to the front fascias and rear lights on the outside. Inside upgrades see a revised center console, plus new graphics for the instruments, and an updated trim and upholstery option.
The 2011 model year of the Antara has an engine lineup consisting of two new 2.2-liter CDTI diesel with 163-horsepower and 184-hp, and a new 2.4-liter ECOTEC gasoline variant with 167-horsepower. The top-of-the-line 184-horsepower diesel engine will come standard with all-wheel drive and will also be available with either manual or automatic transmission choices. Another newly developed feature the Antara will carry is the availability of two 6-speed transmissions, an improved ABS system and the standard fitting of Hill Start Assist. The Antara will launch in Europe this coming spring.
