The 2011 Toyota Corolla has remained the same since its 2010 model year, but is expected to see a few minor alterations for 2012. The 2011 Toyota Corolla is available in several trims that include the base model, LE, S, XLE, and XRS. The 2011 Corolla sees a slight change to the transmission in order to improve fuel efficiency. THE 2011 Corolla continues to be a front wheel drive vehicle, with the drivetrain located in the front of the car.

The Corolla is equipped with a 1.8-liter four cylinder 132 horsepower engine, with the exception of the XRS, which has a 2.4-liter, 158 horsepower engine. While the 2010 Corolla came with the option of a five speed manual transmission or a four speed automatic transmission, the 2011 Corolla comes with a five speed automatic transmission to save on gas. EPA fuel efficiency ratings for the 2010 set the vehicle to achieve 26/34 city/highway for the 1.8-liter engine. The XRS model will achieve slightly lower with 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

The 2011 Toyota Corolla has features that are similar to the 2010 Corolla model year. All models come with standard features like air conditioning, height adjustments for the driver's seat, a radio with an auxiliary audio input, and a split folding rear seat. Higher level trims come with features like power accessories, keyless entry, cruise control, a power sunroof, leather upholstery, and a navigation system. Perhaps the newest addition to the list of standard features is the USB port for iPods.

The 2011 Corolla also comes with several standard safety features like front, driver, and passenger airbags, front side airbags, and side curtain airbag. Anti lock brakes and traction control as also coming standard.
