The 2011 Volkswagen Passat is scheduled to be revealed at the Paris Auto Show this fall with a refreshed exterior and restyled cabin. The Passat will feature horizontal brightwork to signal that coveted up-market touch, along with air intakes, an angular grille, slimmer mirrors and double streaks along the cleaned up flanks. The interior adopts ideas from the CC, with optional heated and cooled seats, and heated steering wheel.

North America's 2011 Passat will come with a selection of four engines: a 1.8-liter four-cylinder, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, a 3.6-liter V-6, and a 2.0-liter TDI. 4WD and DSG dual-clutch transmission are standard with the V-6. These improvements on the 2011 are in anticipation for the Passat's all-new replacement that'll arrive in 2014, when the wagon will disappear. Photos displayed are of the 2010 Volkswagen Passat
