The 2011 Volkswagen Touareg has been redesigned and boasts a sharp new exterior, a luxurious and spacious cabin, and an all-new hybrid SUV model. The Touareg Hybrid is estimated to achieve 21-city and 25- highway mpg, making it one of the most fuel efficient SUVs. The redesign saw the loss of the permanent 4WD, but in place received an AWD system. It comes in three trims, one of which is the new hybrid.
The 2011 Touareg has been lightened to provide stronger acceleration, but the most impressive is the hybrid model, which has a seamless transition from gas to electric power. The exterior is more masculine in front and is lower and wider than the previous year's model. The interior has more space and is more comfortable with its refined style.
