Audi's replacement for the successful R8 LMS GT3 has just arrived. Dubbed the R8 LMS Ultra, the upgraded car for 2012 is truly a spectacle to see and for the track, it is as well-equipped as any other high-end racecar out there. Designed with an emphasis on aerodynamics, the Ultra features a wider front hood with optional louvres (for compliance with different racing series rules), a huge new fixed rear wing and larger end plates.

Audi's new racecar has been equipped with a 5.2-liter engine that puts out up to 570hp, again, depending on different restrictor regulations in different series. Performance has been optimized through the use of a new racing-spec exhaust system, which includes catalytic converters, upgraded cooling system with a larger engine oil and transmission fluid cooler and better weight distribution. The 2012 Audi R8 LMS Ultra will ready for delivery in March of next year and prices at € 329,900.
