The hype for the London Olympics is growing and growing, and BMW has decided to step up as one of the main sponsors of the XXX Olympiad. In celebration of their partnership, BMW has released two new London Performance Editions for the 1-Series and 3-Series. The models will feature M-inspired body styling and show off some of the newer and more technologically advanced features BMW is capable of.

The London Performance Edition 1-Series BMW will be available both on the three-door coupe and five-door sedan. London 2012 badges adorn the exterior, which belie the sophistication located within the 1-Series. Royal Blue stitching on the seats and floor mats complements the leather interior. An M Sport leather steering wheel and gearshift lever keep it honest down to its true, speedy roots. The M Sport Suspension allows the 1- Series to take advantage of its M aerodynamic bodystyling, dark chrome exhaust tips and 18-inch M wheels finished in dark chrome.

In addition to the badges, the exterior comes on nicely with a neat Shadowline exterior trim and dark line rear taillights. The London Performance for the 3-Series will only be available on the sedan. Though it doesn't have quite as many modifications as the 1-Series Olympic Performance, a few are noticeable and are fairly similar. The exterior features an M aerodynamic body kit which accompanies its 18-inch wheels. London 2012 badges again adorn the exterior with a chrome exhaust tip gives the 3-Series sedan a bit of flair. The interior is again the same, along with sports seats and Royal Blue stitching on both the seats and floor mats.

All the models listed above will be made available in a variety of colors, including Bluewater, Black Sapphire, Alpine White, and Titanium Silver. Pricing for the celebratory 1-Series London Olympics Performance Edition runs an extra $2,400 more than the equivalent ES model and pricing for the 116i Performance Edition three-door coupe will begin at $31,000. The 3-Series London Olympics Performance Edition runs a paltry $800 more than the equivalent ES sedan. The 318i Performance Edition sedan starts at around $40,000. The cars are currently on sale and are available immediately.
