The interior has been slightly tweaked and features new trim options and higher quality materials. Under the hood, the Sonata will generate power from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 165hp that's mated to a manual or automatic transmission.

The 2.4-liter four-cylinder has been replaced with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 271hp. There is no word yet when Hyundai plans to release the freshened Sonata to the international market.
