The 2012 Kia Rio is ready to drop into the UK this September and the Korean automaker has prematurely released all its pricing information and specs for the new hatchback. The new version will come solely as a 5-door model yet there are plans to release a three-door version sometime early next year. Kia's standard features for the UK Rio include electronic stability control, emergency brake assist, electronic brake force distribution and a full range of curtain airbags.

The 1 and 1 Air! models contain basic equipment (ie. 15-inch wheels, trip computer, MP3/CD compatible sound system, etc). The 2 trim contains such accoutrements as 16-inch alloy wheels, chrome grille, upgraded interior fabric and leather steering wheel. The 3 trim gains 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear LED daytime running lights, heated seats, 6 speakers instead of 4 and UV-reducing glass. Power for the Kia Rio will come in the form of either 2 gasoline or 2 diesel engines. The 2012 Kia Rio will start pricing at £10,595. The top of the line model will cost £14,895. It will hit British dealerships this September.
