The BMW M6 hardtop made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show and now its convertible counterpart has been revealed at the New York Auto Show, featuring the same potent turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 under the hood. There's 560hp and 500lb-ft of torque to play with, and the convertible should be capable of launching to 62mph in 4.3 seconds and to 124mph in 13.1 seconds thanks in part to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Without going into specifics, BMW has revealed the 2013MY has shed significant weight over its predecessor. Its taut, aerodynamic body also gets to sit on 19-inch M-designed alloys, with 20-inch wheels available. Just the like the M6 Coupe, the Convertible will be offered for the first time with optional M Carbon-Ceramic brakes with the 20-inch M light alloys. Aping the move made with the 6-Series models, BMW will introduce the convertible variant of the M6 prior to the coupe, and when it goes on sale in June it will come with an $113,995 price tag.

The 2013 M6 Coupe will arrive late summer priced from $106,995. For those with a smaller budget, the 2013 M5 also goes on sale in the summer priced from just $90,695. But if you can't wait that long the 2013 X6M performance SUV will hit showrooms in May priced from $93,795.
