The Chevrolet Cruze is spawning a wagon version and the American automaker has released the first photo and details of their latest variant of the popular car. The 2013 Cruze Wagon joins the Cruze hatchback and sedan in the company's lineup. The Cruze Wagon will feature a new engine option for the lineup. It features a 1.7-liter VCDi diesel engine rated at 130hp. Complete with start-stop tech, it will emit only 119g/km CO2.

The SW variant measures in at a length of 4,678mm. It is slightly longer than the Cruze hatch (4,510mm) and the Cruze sedan (4,597mm). The extra length gives the wagon 500-liters of load space and almost 1,500-liters of space with the back seats down. Pricing information hasn't been released as of yet, though we expect more details to trickle out of Chevy as the 2013 Cruze Station Wagon moves closer to its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
