The only car in its range to offer a 7-inch color touchscreen radio capable of displaying smart phone based navigation, media and contacts for hands-free calling, the 2013 Chevy Spark mini car is a sporty 4-door hatch that is trying to crack the US and Canadian markets. Aimed at city dwellers and first-time buyers, it boasts 10 standard air bags, in addition to a host of award-winning safety technologies; excellent fuel efficiency; and maneuverability.

It also offers more passenger and cargo room than the Fiat 500, Scion iQ and Smartfortwo and is the only car in its segment to provide a five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain warranty. The 85hp 1.2-liter engine is linked to a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission and both the 1LT and 2LT models will have the exclusive MyLink infotainment system when they go on sale in mid-2012. Exterior finishes range from Jalapeno, Lemonade and Techno Pink to Silver Ice and Black Granite, and the interior gets ice blue ambient lighting as well as a/c and power windows.

Chris Perry, Vice president of global Chevrolet marketing and strategy said: "Spark is for buyers who want much more than a 'cute' small car - they want a car that can be personalized, is dynamic and fashionable, and delivers a lot of value for the money. Spark's vibrant exterior and interior colors make a fashion statement, but it is also affordable, safe, maneuverable and very fuel-efficient."
