The Chevrolet Traverse has received a refresh for 2013 and it has been revealed a week shy of its anticipated debut at the 2012 New York International Auto Show. The crossover features several stylistic changes in addition to a revised suspension and the industry's first-ever front-center air bag. The Traverse takes its motivation in the form of a 3.6-liter V6 engine rated at 288hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. The engine is shared by the GMC Acadia and it is paired to a revised six-speed automatic tranny with optional AWD configuration.

The refreshed Traverse returns 17/24mpg city/highway for front-wheel-drive and in all-wheel-drive, the numbers drop by 1mpg to 16/23mpg. In terms of styling, the 2013 Traverse features a redesigned front fascia complete with a set of new headlights and the company's corporate grille, redesigned taillights and a new tailgate. A new powerdome hood has also been affixed to the crossover. The biggest change on the interior is the addition of a 6.5-inch Chevy MyLink infotainment system that also operates the model's climate control system.

Keep an eye out for the refreshed 2013 Chevrolet Traverse as it makes its debut next week at the 2012 New York International Auto Show.
