2013 Kia Cee’d Seen for the First Time

2012 Geneva Motor Show

Kia has released a new photo of the aggressive Cee'd hatchback.

Kia has just released the first photo of their all-new C-segment competitor for Europe, the Cee'd. This is the second generation of the Korean automaker's hatchback. The new hatch looks much sportier than its predecessor. Running on the Hyundai i30's platform, it will feature a new turbocharged 1.6-liter GDI engine with an output of 201hp. This is the same engine we have just seen arrive in Detroit nestled inside the Hyundai Veloster Turbo.

In terms of styling, Kia has given the Cee'd some aggressive design cues which contrast well with its chrome-framed windows and lights. The five-door hatch still bears Kia's signature grille and takes its wheels from the Cerato aka Forte sedan. The 2013 Kia Cee'd will make its official debut in March at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
