2013 Lexus GS 350 Makes its Debut in Monterey

Lexus has debuted their beefed-up GS 350 at this week's Pebble Beach.

The fourth-generation Lexus GS 350 has made its long-awaited debut at Pebble Beach this week. The GS 350 features a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission. Output is measured at 312hp and 277lb-ft of torque. The improved powertrain will be controlled by a wider track with an upgraded suspension that makes generous use of aluminum.

The Lexus GS 350 can sprint from 0-62mph in 5.7 seconds and can reportedly hit a limited top speed of 143mph. The interior will feature premium leather upholstery and will come in a variety of colors besides the usual black, gray and beige that are usually found in Lexus interiors. Lexus will compete directly with the new BMW 5-Series, Audi's A6 and Mercedes-Benz's E-Class. The GS 350 was designed for improved handling and power and it looks to accomplish that admirably.
