Despite the fact that Carroll Shelby still hasn't been buried due to a family dispute, his life's mission still goes on in full force. His company, Shelby American, is alive and well and doing exactly what the great man always wanted them to do: build ridiculously fast and powerful cars. While many are familiar with Ford's own Shelby GT500, Shelby American does the GT350, which is also built on the Mustang GT platform. In the past, the GT350 of which only 100 units were built for 2012, produced 525hp thanks to a Whipple supercharger and a unique exhaust boost.

There were also brake cooling ducts for both front and rear. To visually make it stand out, the GT350 was given unique interior bits and exterior body panels and was available in only red, white, or blue. All told, the entire package cost an additional $59,995 over the price of the base GT. And now car configurator on Shelby's site has leaked some new details about the 2013 model. There will likely be new wheels painted in either black or silver and an updated front fascia a la the standard 2013 Mustang. There will also reportedly be some badging changes and a different hood scoop. There will also be a greater selection of body colors.

No other details are available just yet, but we wouldn't be surprised to see some a power increase as well along with a special edition GT350 to commemorate Carroll Shelby himself.
