A slighlty more upscale version of the XC60 has been announced and will come in the form of the 2013 XC60 Inscription. As per the C70 Inscription seen at the LA Auto Show last November, the new XC60 Inscription crossover benefits from some luxury enhancements with the majority of upgrades located inside. A choice of four colors is on offer for the interior, which comes with full semi-aniline leather upholstery and a charcoal headliner, namely: Marble White, Toscana Tan, Off-black and Soft Beige.

The package also includes a leather-trimmed center console armrest, headrests embroidered with the Inscription logo and electrically-adjusted lumbar support on certain seats. As for the exterior, the XC60 Inscription can be further personalized with additional options of special effect paint and Avior 20-inch wheels. All the engine options for the Volvo XC60 are available for the Inscription model, including a turbocharged 3.0-liter model with 300hp and 325lb-ft of torque, which will premiere at the Leipzig Motor Show this June before going on sale later this year.

Volvo's Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Customer Service, Doug Speck said: "Many consumers we talk to have very exclusive, individual tastes. The XC60 was our top-selling model in 2011 with almost 100,000 units delivered to customers around the globe." And with the new Inscription package the car is sure to become even more popular.
