Last Monday, General Motors issued yet another (out of many) recall, this time for the 2014 Cadillac CTS. Now, this specific group of CTS models was built just before the redesigned version began production. In other words, the recall affected 264 coupes and wagons. Consider them carryovers from 2013. The all-new CTS is available only as a sedan. However, Cadillac incorrectly listed the 2014 CTS sedan as a part of Monday's recall.

That recall was for a total of 8.4 million more GM cars in North America. GM has now realized its mistake and wants 2014 CTS owners to be reassured their cars are just fine (for now, at least). But for anyone else who owns a 2003 to 2013 CTS sedan, wagon, or coupe, this latest recall affects you. Welcome to the club of 29 million GM vehicles recalled worldwide.
