2014 Civic Coupe Showcasing at SEMA

Refreshed Coupe coming to SEMA 2013; Si variant to get increased performance.

The ninth-generation 2012 Civic was so badly panned, CEO Takanobu issued an apology to the public. A facelift was rapidly applied to the Sedan, which debuted in LA last December and now it’s the turn of the Coupe that will make its world debut at SEMA next month. The single released image shows the sporty Si variant that Honda claims will receive performance enhancements, while the Coupe will be refreshed with sharpened styling and adopt the same upgrades made to the sedan, including a high-quality cabin.

Honda selected SEMA for the Civic Coupe’s unveiling as during the eighties and nineties it was one of the most popular imports for tuners, something Honda hopes to replicate in this decade. The Honda SEMA booth will also showcase an array of custom cars and bikes, as well as the Mean Mower – the lawn mower capable of 133 mph and a four-second 0-60 mph time.
