Although it's set to debut late tonight/early tomorrow via a live Xbox stream, images of the all-new 2014 Mazda3 have appeared online. We've seen some spy shots of the Japanese automaker's all-new compact before, but now we get to see it in the flesh. Adapting the new Kodo design language of the Mazda6 sedan and CX-5 crossover, the car, shown here as a five-door hatchback, is a dramatic improvement over the outgoing model both inside and out.

Official specs won't be released until sometime tomorrow, but we already know that base 3 will be powered by a 1.5-liter SkyActiv four-pot with 100 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque, although that engine may not be sold in the US. Expect for us to get the already familiar 2.0-liter unit that'll be paired up with the brand's i-ELOOP regenerative braking technology. What's interesting is that these images also show a six-speed manual gearbox, but a six-speed slushbox will be optional. We'll bring you the full specs and details tomorrow once Mazda has officially unveiled the car.
