Two weeks after its online reveal, the noble Bentley Mulsanne Speed has traveled across the Channel to present itself to the people of Paris. The "fastest ultra-luxury driving experience in the world," the Mulsanne Speed features tweaks to Bentley's twin-turbo, 6.75-liter V8, now delivering 530 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque. This is enough to move the hefty sedan from 0-62 mph in just 4.9 seconds before topping out at 190 mph. To achieve these numbers, the company has performed an array of engine mods.

With a revamped compression ratio, the Mulsanne Speed also gains a new combustion chamber, inlet ports, spark plugs and fuel injectors. An optimized turbocharger control has been added, as well as new variable valve timing. Furthermore, a recalibrated transmission offers a new "S" mode to continuously employ the turbochargers. This new model also features improved emissions and an extended fuel range.
