After Ford puts the all-new 2015 Ford F-150 into production this summer, expect to start seeing a lot more of these roaming the streets. This pre-production model was spotted in Detroit, its 700 pound-lighter aluminum alloy body looking taught and lean as it awaits some heavy-duty action. Drawing styling cues from the Atlas concept, the new F-150 will be available with a 3.5-liter V6, a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 and a 5.0-liter V8, all mated to a six-speed automatic.

Inside, buyers will find a cabin befitting of a luxury sedan. Ford specifically points out the optional eight-inch display, 360-degree camera and a panoramic sunroof. Other goodies include a trailer brake controller, LED bed lights, and a remote tailgate that can be unlocked, locked and released via the key fob. The 2015 F-150 will be offered in five trims, XL, XLT, Lariant, King Ranch, and Platinum, with sales beginning at the end of this year.
