As previously announced, GMC has revealed full specs and photos of its all-new 2015 Canyon pickup truck ahead of its live debut this week at Detroit. Yes, this may be just a twin of the also new Chevrolet Colorado, but the Canyon clearly has somewhat more mature styling taken directly from its big brother, the Sierra 1500 and HD. While the Colorado has a more rounded look up front, GMC went with a more squared-off design for the Canyon, and we dig it.

Like the Colorado, the Canyon is offered with a choice of two engines: a standard 2.5-liter inline-four with 193 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, and a 3.6-liter V6 with 302 hp and 270 lb-ft. A six-speed automatic transmission comes standard, but buyers who opt for the 2.5L base in extended cab/2WD can also choose a six-speed manual. A total of three bodystyle configurations are on offer: an extended cab with a six-foot bed, a crew cab with a five-foot bed, and a crew cab with a six-foot bed. Both 2WD and 4WD models are available and there are three trim levels: base, SLE, and SLT. Official pricing hasn't been released, and production begins this fall.
