Infiniti has just taken the wrappers off of its next-generation, full-size, flagship SUV, the 2015 QX80. The car, which was always more appealing due to its cavernous interior rather than its massive, daunting rich soccer-mom exterior, now has more luxury, and interior space, than ever before. The SUV formerly known as the QX56 powers on with its body-on-frame design, and continues to offer the same 5.6-liter V8 making 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque mated to a 7-speed automatic and all or rear-wheel drive.

New for 2015 are updated front and rear fascias and wheels, new colors and a bunch of interior options. The QX80 also gets new LED headlights, fog lights and turn signals, and sonar sensors are incorporated in the bumpers for the adaptive cruise control and collision-alert systems. The interior is flush with luxury components, but those who need even more of those may opt for the Limited trim, which adds exterior dark headlight lenses, tinted rear lamps, lit running boards, 22-inch wheels and tons of chrome, in addition to numerous goodies inside. The 2015 QX50 will go on sale at the end of this year.
