Cadillac has just announced official pricing for its all-new 2016 ATS-V coupe and sedan. We'll just cut straight to it: the ATS-V sedan has a base price of $61,460 and the coupe begins at $63,660. Both are powered by the same engine: a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 with 455 hp and 445 lb-ft of torque. This also just happens to be the segment's highest-output six-cylinder. Enthusiasts will be pleased to know they have the option of two gearboxes: a six-speed manual with Active Rev Match and a paddle-shift eight-speed automatic featuring launch control.

0-60 mph happens in just 3.9 seconds and top speed is recorded at 189 mph. Mighty impressive. Other features include a Brembo high-performance brake system developed specifically for track-day performance, Magnetic Ride Control, Tri-compound tires, optional downforce-generating track aero package, and a standard carbon-fiber hood. And, for the record, the ATS-V's chief competitors, the BMW M3 and M4, have a base price of $62,000 and $64,200, respectively. Cadillac is clearly gunning for them both.
