Following plenty of speculation and a few renderings we showed you earlier this year, we are pleased to present the 2016 Ford Focus RS, seen here as it undergoes testing under a heavy layer of camouflage and with ST badging. The line-topping, performance-geared Focus is expected to premiere in late 2014 or early 2015, featuring the Mustang's 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo four-pot engine and a staggering amount of horsepower, probably somewhere around the 300-330 mark.

Setting it apart from the lesser (but still great) Focus ST, this prototype features wide-set exhaust outlets and massive 19-inch multi-spoke wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, in addition to large brake calipers and a huge front grille. According to some rumors, the RS will also feature all-wheel drive. So far, Ford has not confirmed whether this model will make it to US shores, but we're willing to bet it'll be highly ranked on our wish-list once it is finally introduced.
