Oy, what an argument this is going to be.
Ford has once again moved away from natural aspiration to turbocharging, as evidenced by the all-new 2018 F-150 Raptor. Clearly this will be the source of controversy for many die-hard truck people. Then again, the new Raptor's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 promises more horsepower (450 vs. 411) and improved fuel efficiency. Weight is down and there are no doubt numerous suspension improvements to boot. Appearance wise, the new Raptor looks completely badass, just as the Raptor should.
It's a proper evolution of the original. Obviously a direct head-to-head competition test is preferred but the new Raptor won't begin production for several months. Until then, we can compare what we know: looks, output, and attitude. So which Raptor is more to your liking?
